I'm Chinese, female and in my mid 30s. I'm originally from Singapore, but am now living in the UK. My more prominent interests at present would probably be (in no particular order): animals, the Jossverse, gestalt therapy, books and reading, writing, PTSD and body psychotherapy, dance. I volunteer to provide psychotherapy/counselling with two different organizations. I have a diploma in Embodied-Relational Therapy, and I'm also in Gestalt psychotherapy training. About that I wonder and hope:

Will my heart become a tree laden heavily with fruit that I can pick and give to others? (Kahlil Gibran)
I'm currently maintaining the LJ gestaltists and animal_bears communities. If you'd like to get in touch with questions or suggestions for either of those, feel free to drop me an e-mail using the e-mail address above.

And here, have some Dogen:

When a fish swims, it swims on and on and there is no end to the water. When a bird flies, it flies on and on and there is no end to the sky. There was never a fish that swam out of the water, or a bird that flew out of the sky. When they need a little water or sky, they use just a little; when they need a lot, they use a lot. Thus they use all of it at every moment, and in every place they have perfect freedom.
This is pretty much how I feel about the things I love learning/doing, and the process of learning/doing them.

In General - I'm pretty allergic to unsolicited advice. If I want advice, I'll tend to ask directly for it. I like having space here to be however I need to be, and I appreciate good company along the way. For me, fielding unsolicited advice tends to get in the way of that.

My Friends List - Given the way LJ seems to be changing in such a way that it's harder to protect the privacy of users of the service, I have decided to make my journal Friends Only. This means you will need to have an LJ account, and be added to my Friends list in order to read any journal updates I make, and to comment on those.

If you add me as a Friend, I'll have a look at your journal and your User Info, and decide if I want to add you back or not. If I've added you as a Friend, I won't be offended if you don't wish to do the same.

Please note that I DON'T want people on my Friends list crossposting comments directly from my journal to your Facebook or Twitter accounts, and I will (regretfully) de-friend anyone who does that. I'd rather be clear about it than have a misunderstanding. On my part, I will also NOT be crossposting any comments I make in any of your journals to Facebook or Twitter.

Comment Screening - I may choose to screen or delete comments which I consider to be disrespectful or otherwise inappropriate.
